End of Season – Champion Sires

The first of August marks the beginning of a new season and all the hard work of the previous 12 months is reflected in end of season sires tables with Yulong Stud’s Written Tycoon capturing his first title as Australia’s Champion Sire by earnings.

Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible set a new Australian benchmark for winners with his 209 eclipsing his previous record set in 2019 when he sired 184 winners.

Coolmore’s former champion sire Encosta de Lago was the Champion Broodmare Sire having won the title three times previously in 2016, 2017 and 2018, before losing it for two years to Redoute’s Choice and now winning it back.




Newgate Farm’s young guns Extreme Choice and Capitalist ran the quinella in the first season sires division, Extreme Choice winning by earnings and Capitalist by winners. Their barn mate Flying Artie was third giving Newgate a rare trifecta in the first season divison.
