First Winner for Miracles Of Life

Mark Smith - Wednesday July 28

Godolphin received the first dividend on the $1,000,000 outlaid for Jadida when the three-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro (USA) opened her winning account with an impressive performance over 1100m at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.

Given a patient ride by Rachel King, Jadida quickened impressively to hold the barnstorming finish of the Wandjina filly Latin Lyric by a half-head with a further one and a quarter length back to the $2.8million Snitzel colt Mout Fuji in third.

Jadida was making her fifth trip to the races having finished fifth on debut at Hawkesbury in February before placing at Wyong, Hawkesbury and Kembla Grange.

“They put their judgement on the line and paid $1million for her,” stable representative Darren Beadman said.

“The form doesn’t look all that strong, but she was one of our early comers. She trialled at the official 2yo barrier trials, but she has had a few minor growing issues. James (Cummings) and the team have given her plenty of time to settle down and grow into herself.

“She showed a really nice turn of foot today, and there is a little bit of upside to her.

“She has been running on wet tracks, which she does not really go on, and she has been unable to show the turn of foot she showed today getting back on top of the ground.”

Jadida a $1,000,000 Magic Millions yearling

Purchased by Godolphin for $1million out of the Coolmore draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Jadida is the second of three foals and the first winner for the Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and Group 1 SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes heroine Miracles Of Life.

Stonestreet Thoroughbreds purchased the hugely popular daughter of Not a Single Doubt for $900,000 at the 2014 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

Her first foal Miracles Forever, an unraced sister to Jadida, was exported to the U.S.

The third foal, the 2yo American Pharoah (USA) filly Cleocatra, has made just one start to date, finishing seventh of nine in a maiden at Newcastle.

Covered by I Am Invincible in 2018, Miracles Of Life died in May the following year.
