New 2YO Stakes-Winner for Exceed and Excel

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 12

Darley’s champion sire Exceed and Excel made his presence felt at Deauville in France on Sunday siring the dam of his tenth Group I winner in Laws of Indices as well posting a new juvenile stakes-winner in Choux.

Read about Laws of Indices here.

Trained by David Evans, Choux won on debut at Thirsk in May before finishing midfield in the Group II Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She found her best form in France to score a neck win in the five furlong sprint and has now won two of four starts.

The 186th stakes-winner for champion sire Exceed and Excel, Choux is from unraced Puff Pastry, an unraced half-sister by Pivotal to Group I winner Sultanina.

Exceed and Excel stands at a fee of $132,000 at Darley NSW this spring.
