Excellence in the sales ring as well as on the racecourse
Bringing together the creme de la creme of yearlings, the quality of the lots offered at the August Yearling Sale is reflected on the racecourse. Following his win in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr.1) at three, the exceptional SOTTSASS then went on to take the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr.1) last season. The son of Siyouni out of Ecurie des Monceaux’s blue hen mare STARLET’S SISTER was bought by Oceanic Bloodstock in August 2017. The list of Group 1 winning graduates from the sale keeps growing, following the victories of SKALLETI, SEALIWAY, WONDERFUL TONIGHT, ETOILE, UNI etc. as well as Group winners BABY RIDER, DUHAIL, YOUTH SPIRIT, RUMI, PHILOMENE, ROUGIR, GOLD TRIP, WALLY etc.

A selection of brilliantly bred yearlings
After an exceptional year due to the pandemic, the August Yearling Sale returns to its original format and welcomes a selection of 355 colts and fillies with exceptional pedigrees and conformation from August 14 to 16 at Deauville. Bidding will begin at 5.30 pm on the first two evenings of the sale and at 1pm on Monday.

A total of 19 siblings and half-siblings to Group 1 winners are catalogued. In Part I, over half of the yearlings selected are out of black-type mares and a quarter of the yearlings are siblings or half-siblings to Group winners.
