Is This Your Price Point? $13,200 - $15,400

Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 1

The Breednet Price Point stories have been super popular and are now archived on the site, so will remain a great source of information and reference as we move towards the breeding season and let’s not forget that the three stallions topping the current Australian General Sires List by earnings all started their stud careers at this price point or below.

Front runner Written Tycoon went to stud as a Group II winner at a fee of $8,250, Not a Single Doubt was a Listed winner priced at $13,750 and I Am Invincible was a Group III winner starting off at $11,000.

That trio now feature in the top Price Point story, upwards of $110,000!

Proven Sires

Magnus stands at Widden Stud Victoria at a fee of $15,400, click for more information.
Just four proven sires in this price point and one them, Magnus, is quite clearly head and shoulders above his peers being a proven Australian Group I sire that has left some 116 winners this season of $6.7 million in prizemoney.

Power (GB), who previously shuttled to New Zealand and now calls Queensland home, has more stakes-winners for the current season than most people would realise with five in New Zealand and four in the Northern Hemisphere including two Group I winners Laws of Indices and Helvic Dream.

The oldest progeny for Sooboog are only two year-olds and he has sired nine winners including one stakes horse in Birdsville.

Stakes-winners are worldwide from August 1, 2020. Overall average  is posted if insufficient numbers, three or more, in select sales.
