Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Friday June 25

A small set of trials on the polytrack at Warwick Farm on Friday morning included only two heats for juveniles, but one of those winners was a talented Deep Field colt having his first public outing

Trained by Team Hawkes and sporting the China Horse Club colours, Vindication mustered speed from an inside gate to surge forward under Andrew Adkins to share the lead.

He was always under a hold and surged again to the line to win his 740m by a length and a half, running a second quicker than the other juvenile heat.

Vindication was the second most expensive yearling by Deep Field sold at Inglis Classic 2020.

A $320,000 Inglis Classic purchase for China Horse Club / Newgate Bloodstock / Starlight Racing from the Fairview Park Stud draft, Vindication is a half-brother to three winners from good producer Fragrant Storm, a half-sister by Exceed and Excel to stakes-winner Texan.
