Heart’s Cry Pensioned from Stud Duty

Media reports indicate champion Japanese sire Heart’s Cry has been retired from active service at age 20.

The multiple Group I winning son of Sunday Silence stood at Shadai Stallion Farm throughout his stud career and sired 51 stakes-winners, 10 of them Group I winners including Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux and Caulfield Cup winner Admire Rakti.

He is also sire of the dam of six stakes-winners including Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes winner Tagaloa, who retires to Yulong Stud this spring

He has 20 yearlings and three weanlings entered for the JRHA Select Sale from July 12-13.
