Creative Force Wins G3 Jersey Stakes

Tara Madgwick - Saturday June 19

Australia’s original Royal Ascot hero Choisir has already put his stamp on the meeting this year as sire of the dam of Group I King’s Stand Stakes winner Oxsted and he appeared in the results again overnight as sire of the dam of progressive three year-old Creative Force, winner of the Group III Jersey Stakes (7f).

The Charlie Appleby trained son of Dubawi is undefeated this year winning two handicap races and a Listed event before coming to Royal Ascot.

He scored an easy length and a quarter win under James Doyle over his stable mate Naval Crown, who is also by Dubawi.

We were hopeful that stepping Creative Force  up to seven furlongs would be within his realm and he's gone and duly obliged. James gave him a lovely ride and he was a very brave horse," said Charlie Appleby.

“I think we'll probably look at something like the Prix Maurice de Gheest - dropping back to six and a half furlongs - he has bags of pace, travels well and picks up well, so that race would suit his profile.”

A 400,000 euro purchase for Godolphin from the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale, Creative Force has won five of six starts and was the third feature winner at the meeting for Godolphin.

He is a half-brother to Group I winner Persuasive and stakes-winner Tisbutadream from good producing stakes-winner Choose Me, who is by Choisir.

Choisir is sire of the dam of 39 stakes-winners, four of them Group I winners all in the Northern Hemisphere – Oxsted, Winter, My Dream Boat and Persuasive.
