Second Winner for Odyssey Moon

Tara Madgwick - Friday June 18

Twin Hills Stud based Odyssey Moon posted his second winner on Friday when the Richard Litt trained gelding Peregrination ran out an easy winner at Canberra.

Gelded after finishing fourth on debut back in January at Kembla behind subsequent Group II winner Jamaea, Peregrination was well fancied on his return and hit the line strongly to win the 1200m maiden by three and a half lengths.

Peregrination was a modest $5,000 weanling purchase from the Twin Hills draft at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale that was then re-offered at the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale where he made $35,000 for Pendergast Thoroughbreds when bought by Absolut Indian Pty Ltd.

Bred at Twin Hills by Ollie Tait, Peregrination is the fourth winner from stakes-placed Sharp Hill, who has another yearling colt to follow by Odyssey Moon.

Also the sire of Group II placed winner Berdini’s Girl from just eight Australian runners, Odyssey Moon stands at Twin Hills this spring at a fee of $6,600.
