Spirit of Boom is fast closing in on 100 winners for the season and went close to siring his first Group I winner on Saturday when Jonker beat all bar Vega One in the BRC Kingsford Smith Cup, so the Edinburgh Park draft featuring two of his yearlings to be offered at the Magic Millions National Sale next Tuesday will be a must inspect.

Edinburgh Park have enjoyed a great sales season, but back at Magic Millions in January took the decision to pass in the two yearlings below that will be offered this time unreserved.

Lot 1465 is a Spirit of Boom filly from Fastnet Rock’s Group III winner Neena Rock, who comes from an international Black Type family.

Lot 1489 is a Spirit of Boom half-brother to Group III winner Eptimum from well bred mare Paramount, a full sister to Group I winner La Montagna.

“Spirit of Boom has had a great run of late with a flood of winners and a new 2YO stakes-winner in Prince of Boom and these two yearlings represent the future for a young sire, who has only served superior mares from 2018 onwards,” said Edinburgh Park’s Ian Smith.

“The extra time in the paddocks since January has allowed them to furnish into lovely types and they tick all the boxes.

“We have had a great selling year and have decided to meet the market, so they will be unreserved and it will give buyers the confidence to bid up and buy two excellent yearlings.

“They have been raised on superior ground as have all the IKS horses and the new owners will have the excitement of not only racing in the Magic Milllions race series, but both have the rare opportunity to race for rich bonuses in both Super Vobis and QTIS.”
