$2million for Qafila

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 25

The big results keep coming at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale with the Shadwell Dispersal producing a highlight in Group I SAJC Derby winner Qafila, who sold for $2million.

Offered for sale in foal to Dundeel in her first season at stud, Qafila was bought by Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock.

Qafila sold for $2million in foal to Dundeel, she might be carrying a star of the future!

By champion sire Not a Single Doubt from an imported daughter of Tapit, Qafila was bought by Shadwell for $450,000 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale and won over $700,000 in prizemoney.

A remarkable race mare that won as a spring 2YO over 1000m and then won a Classic at threeover 2500m beating the colts, Qafila has the potential to produce some truly outstanding racehorses that could compete over all trips.
