King Viv has made his way into the Weekend Winners' tips.

STAR BET – REVOLVING DOOR (Caulfield - Race 7 No. 3)  – Nothing went right for apprentice Brandon Stockdale after drawing a wide gate around this route last start. A few kicked-up underneath and Stockdale was posted on a limb. Revolving Door, a three-year-old by Sebring, showed plenty of grit and still looked the winner 200m from home before being edged out by Nikitas, which had enjoyed the run of the race. Revolving Door has drawn barrier 2 on Saturday whilst Nikitas has come up with gate 13. We are confident Revolving Door will be turning the tables.

VALUE TIP – BUNNY BAD GIRL (Rosehill – Race 4 No. 13)  – This Tamworth-trained filly shares the honour of being the most lightly raced horse contesting Saturday's Highway Plate. Has finished in the money at six of nine career starts and off a soft draw should land in a gun trailing position. There doesn't look the usual helter skelter pressure up front which we sometimes get in these Highways, so the on-pace runners should have an advantage. Worth an each-way ticket at big odds.

STABLE/JOCKEY COMBOTIP – IMPREGNABLE (Doomben Race 9 No. 5)  – It's been a huge year for veteran hoop Jeff Lloyd and also a massive season for Gold Coast trainer Toby Edmonds. It's no surprise they've been working together for much of their success and Impregnable looks another likely winner for the dynamic duo on Saturday. It took six starts for this son of I Am Invincible to win his maiden but since then it's three from three. Lloyd kicked off his winning spree at Grafton and since that maiden win Impregnable has taken his Class 1 then Class 2. A mid-draw provides some options and whilst we concede this race has loads of depth, with double-figure odds on offer we suggest an each-way bet.

VEGAS TIP – BRIS VEGAS (Morphettville Race 3 No. 3)  – This two-year-old is well named, by Ilovethiscity and all of us here at Weekend Winners love Vegas. Even one of the tech boys has been lured to Sin City this week. I hope he makes it back safely, we are having issues with our emails. Bris Vegas showed plenty of ticker to hold off the heavily backed Debt Collector around the 1000m here last start and once again bookmakers are keen to take him on. A good type with a free running style, we are going to stick solid.

WIDE DRAW, BIGGER ODDS TIP – SEATTLE BOOM (Caulfield Race 4 No. 14)  – Drawing barrier seven of eight didn't worry this four-year-old son of Snitzel when resuming at Morphettville over 1050m. He just went straight to the front and kept going. Comes to Melbourne and has once again drawn out – likely to jump from 15 of 16. But the best thing about a speedy galloper drawing wide is that there are no surprises – he'll cross and lead. There is some pace drawn inside but expecting they'll let him cross and if that happens he'll be mighty hard to catch.

THE OBVIOUS TIP – GOLD SYMPHONY (Rosehill Race 7 No. 1)  – The market has been a bit easy with this Peter and Paul Snowden-trained four-year-old. But when you look at the form he should be winning. Ran sixth in a Stradbroke Handicap three runs back then scored a barnstorming win in the Civic Stakes here. Sent out a deserved favourite in the Winter Stakes here last time but with Hugh Bowman aboard never saw daylight and went through the line hard held. Meets basically the same line-up here at the same weights. Bowman sticks and has gate 3. Looks an obvious one.

HIT 'EM FOR SIX TIP – KING VIV (Doomben Race 4 No. 6)  – Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time and surely wins the coolest cricketer of all time award. He wouldn't have stopped playing because of a pay dispute with administrators. Not sure how this horse earned the King Viv moniker, but he does look well placed carrying solid Sydney form up to a Brisbane staying race on the limit weight. Lightly raced with upside and has Jeff Lloyd in the saddle. As the Anitguan legend would say - 'Looks a good thing man'.

SNEAKYSA TIP – BANDIPUR (MorphettvilleRace 7 No. 15)  – We are always on the lookout for a sneaky SA tip and the fact that James Cummings has popped smart youngster Bandipur across the border bears close notice. Won by eight lengths first-up at Moe then led them and boxed on gamely behind the smart I Did It Again at Caulfield. Jumps to Listed level and takes on the three-year-olds but he's only three days off turning three himself so we won't hold that against him and he gets a handy weight pull as a result. Barrier five and Dom Tourneur to ride are two more positives.
