I thought I actually got beat on the line. I thought they nutted me. I thought the trip might have taken something out of him. He gave me the feel going to barriers he wasn't as bold as he can be. So the experience will help him to no end.

He jumped well and I just rode him negative early because he can switch on in his races a bit and he was over doing it for the first furlong and a half. It took me a while to get him to come back and settle but once he did he dropped his head and travelled like a horse that was going to be hard to beat. I was able to slide up three deep when Tye had nowhere to go and put the race away at the furlong.

He is a very good horse, he is the reason I got down to 53kg to make it today. He let the leader come back and head him, he eyeballed it, found the horses on the outside and kicked again. Hats off to Chris (Waller) he just placed this horse so well he thought he would leave three weeks between runs and that has probably won him the race, bring on the Epsom.

When the tempo backed off he just wanted to over-race a little bit, it turned into a little bit of sprint for him at the end, he still whacked away pretty well

He's a quirky horse when he doesn't want to go, he doesn't want to go, which was sort of mid-race today. I was happy with his last 400m, I think he is in for a good preparation. If Joe [Pride] finds the right race for him next time over a mile he'll be hard to beat.

Everyone has been waiting for her to show up and run well and she has been able to do that today, she certainly showed her best. There was a bit of 'argy bargy' at the start but I think the likely leader wasn't flash away so the race took a different complexion.

We had a plan where we wanted to be around midfield with cover and we know that she can reel off a strong sectional we got up the rise and I asked her for an effort and she was electric.

No excuses today, jumped well and got into a good spot, thought I had it won when I let go, the winner was just in behind us and was too strong late.

Really good run, she's quite deceiving, she was gone at the top of the straight when she got pushed out on the corner, but as soon as I put the stick behind her she took off, really really good run.

She has done it again, she is such a delight to be a part of and I have really run out of things to say, she is such a magical horse and she just never fails to get the job done. Today I expected to be closer to the speed, the pace was strong, at the top of the straight she had a lot of ground to make up and after her last two performances I knew she could do it, I am just so proud of her.

Gallant effort, he travelled really well, I think he knew Winx was in that race today, he gave something a bit extra than he has done before. At the half mile I felt like the winner, the 400m he felt the winner. It's very humbling to run second to her [Winx], she's the people's champ. Full credit to my horse and Pat Webster, he was very brave today.

She went well, they just went too quick for her in the middle stages. It got me off the bit a long way from home, to get her to perform at her best she has to travel up and only get off the bridle in the last 300m. I was off the bit next to Winx at the half-mile, I was concerned for her actually, but I thought my girl stuck on well.

When they (connections of Ball Of Muscle) announced they were hell bent on leading at least we knew what the plan was, I would have been happy to lead but I didn't want to lead at a pace that I was being pressured at.

The funny thing was when he did set up the lead, Glyn Schofield on Ball Of Muscle he wasn't going fast enough for me so I poured the pressure on him from the 650m.

I thought she ran really well, the first 100m they didn't go as quick as I would have liked and I drew awkwardly. I had to go forward and it probably told a bit late after I got caught wide. She'll take good improvement from the run and expect a good run next start.

He really hit the line strongly in his first up run for me and today we just rode him a similar fashion, let him be comfortable and didn't he let down well.He took a very narrow split and once he got his nose through he dashed really strongly for me.

He went super, ended up getting into a good spot off an awkward gate, was forced to make a long sustained run which didn't suit him 100%, I thought he was the winner, but the other horse (Libran) was just too good.
