Capitalist Winner for Snowden Family

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 13

The winners keep coming for Newgate Farm’s Golden Slipper winning sire Capitalist, who posted his 13th winner at Pakenham on Thursday evening.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden , Repeal was having his third start and second run back from a spell when proving far superior to older rivals in the 1000m maiden.

Sent out a hot favourite he powered to the line to win by nearly three lengths.

A $150,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Coolmore draft for Snowden Racing and runs for the Snowden family, which is fitting given they put the polish on Capitalist, who won over $3.5million.

Repeal as a yearling

Bred, foaled and raised at Coolmore, he is the second winner from winning Exceed and Excel mare Cancel, a sibling to Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes winner Earthquake, stakes-winners Pandemic and Palomares.

Cancel has a weanling filly by Pierro and is in foal to Justify (USA).

Capitalist is the leading Australian first crop sire and overall 2YO Sire and his efforts have earned him a fee increase from $44,000 to $99,000.
