Debut 2YO Winner for Rubick

Tara Madgwick - Sunday May 9

Relocating to Victoria this spring to stand at Swettenham Stud in conjunction with Coolmore, Rubick sired an impressive debut juvenile winner at Ballarat on Sunday in Sudoko.

Trained by Mick Price and Mick Kent Jr, Sudoko was the widest runner turning for home and surged to the line to beat the hot favourite Ostracised by a dominant two and a half lengths in the 1100m juvenile maiden.

A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for DGR Thoroughbred Services Pty Ltd (FBAA)/Mick Price Racing from the Valiant Stud draft, Sudoko is the first winner for well related Street Cry (IRE) mare Tiergarten, who comes from the family of champion sire Snitzel.
