Grace And Harmony Another New Stakes Winner for Sebring

Mark Smith - Saturday May 8

Three-year-old filly Grace And Harmony continued on her upward trajectory when earning a maiden stakes success in Saturday’s Listed Gold Bracelet at the Gold Coast.

Ridden by James McDonald for champion trainer Chris Waller, Grace An Harmony came with a sweeping run to hit the lead inside the 300m and was strong to the line.

The lightly-raced daughter of Sebring defeated her stablemate Signora Nera (Sweynesse) by one and a quarter lengths with a further half-length back to Only Words (Sweynesse), who gave the Waller stable the trifecta.

It was the third win on the bounce for Grace and Harmony, advancing her record to three wins and a third from five starts with earnings of $164,565.

A homebred for Greg Perry’s Greenwich Stud, Grace And Harmony is a three-quarter-sister to the Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes runner-up Sezanne (More Than Ready) out of the top-class Choisir mare Champagne Harmony.

The winner of the Group II SAJC Yallambee Classic, Champagne Harmony was purchased by the late Steve Brem on behalf of Perry for $700,000 at the 2012 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

Out of a sister to Champagne and St Reims, Champagne Harmony has a 2yo colt by Tavistock and a yearling coly by I Am Invincible who failed to make his $500,000 reserve at the recent Easter Yearling Sale.

Champagne Harmony has a weanling filly from the final Australian crop of More Than Ready (USA).

Grace And Harmony becomes the 69th stakes-winner for the deceased Sebring and the second on the day after Biscayne Bay opened her stakes account in the Sire’s Produce Stakes at Morphettville, read about her here.
