Pinhookers Swoop on $300,000 Justify Filly

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 6

Coolmore’s undefeated Triple Crown hero Justify (USA) had just four of his first crop weanlings entered for the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale and was saving the best for last when the final offering, and his only filly in the sale, fetched $300,000 for Fairhill Farm.

The half-sister to Group II winner and $1.5million earner Fiesta was bought by Silverdale Farm/ Suman Hedge Bloodstock and was bred by Fairhill Farm’s Mike O’Donnell.

She is the eighth foal from Now Now, a five time winning Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare from the family of Group III winners Stick Around and Charm Scene Land as well as Group I placed stakes-winner Kingsgate.

$300,000 half-sister by Justify to G2 winner Fiesta.

Colts have dominated the market at the sale so far today with this Justify filly the only female to sell for more than $100,000.

Justify finishes the sale with all four of his weanlings selling at an average $218,750, which bodes well for the upcoming Magic Millions Weanling Sale where he has six youngsters catalogued for sale, click here to see them.

Justify returns to Coolmore this spring at a fee of $55,000.

The sale continues.
