Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 4

Trained by Team Hawkes, as was Group I ATC Golden Rose place-getter North Pacific, Imposing Beau has taken a little longer to come to hand and is now a gelding.

He looked good in a recent barrier trial win and had no trouble scoring an easy victory in the 1100m maiden as a short priced favourite. Imposing Beau led for Tim Clark and was strong to the line under a hands and heels ride.

Imposing Beau was a $560,000 Inglis Premier purchase.

Imposing Beau was a $560,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Orbis Bloodstock from the Springmount draft and is the second winner from Sistine Princess, a half-sister by O’Reilly to Group III winner Jukebox.

It’s a reliable Black Type family featuring Group I winner Ihtsahymn and prolific Group winning sprinter Catapulted.

Brazen Beau has had a good season siring his first Group I winner in New Zealand trained juvenile On the Bubbles and stands at Darley Victoria this spring at a fee of $49,500.
