Tenth Winner for Star Turn

Tara Madgwick - Monday May 3

Vinery Stud’s Star Turn posted his fourth winner in four days when Me Me Lagarde carried Gerry Harvey’s colours to victory at Ipswich on Monday.

Trained by Toby and Trent Edmonds, Me Me Lagarde finished off from back in the field to score a tenacious short head win over 1100m.

Passed in at Magic Millions shy of her $75,000 reserve, Me Me Lagarde is a half-sister to Group III placed Hoylonny and is the sixth winner from Group III placed Flying Spur mare Roedean, who was famously disqualified from winning the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes back in 2003 due to a positive drug test.

Me Me Lagarde becomes the tenth first crop winner for Star Turn, who stands at a fee of $16,500 and sired his first stakes-winner last Saturday in Miss Hipstar, read about her here.
Star Turn stands at Vinery this spring at a fee of $16,500.
