Second Stakes Winner for Press Statement

Mark Smith - Saturday April 24

The most expensive yearling by her sire Press Statement, the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained filly Incredulous Dream went a long way in recouping the outlay when she captured Saturday’s Listed H C Nitschke Stakes (1400m) at Morphettville.

Bartend Vorster took the shortest way home on Incredulous Dream to defeat the Nostradamus filly Way To Go Paula by a neck with the favoured Reliable Man filly Annavisto a length back in third.

Purchased by Spicer Thoroughbreds for $340,000 out of the Aquis draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Incredulous Dream advances her record to four wins and a third from nine starts with earnings of $206,460.

A half-sister to the Group II MVRC Alister Clark Stakes and Group II MRC Autumn Classic winner Global Exchange, Incredulous Dream is out of the winning Keep The Faith mare Incredulous.

Incredulous Dream a $340,000 Magic Millions Yearling

Purchased by Aquis for $200,000 out of the Sledmere stud draft at the 2017 National Broodmare Sale, Incredulous is a half-sister to the Group II AJC Emancipation Stakes winner Faith Hill (Danehill), the dam of Listed winner Black Minx )Lonhro) and granddam of multiple Group III winner and multiple Group 1 placed So Si Bon (So You Think).

Incredulous has had some awful luck lately and has not had a live foal since Incredulous Dream. She was covered by Pierata in December.

Incredulous Dream becomes the second stakes winner for Press Statement, who will stand at Vinery Stud in 2021 at a fee of $13,750.
