Entries Open for Quality Broodmare Sale on Gavelhouse Plus

Media Release - Thursday April 22

Entries are now open for a high calibre broodmare sale set to be hosted on leading online auction platform Gavelhouse Plus.

Bidding on the dedicated broodmare sale catalogue is scheduled to launch next Wednesday 28 April and will run for a week, with the first lot closing on Wednesday 5 May at 7PM (NZT).

Gavelhouse Plus has hosted a number of successful online sessions since its inauguration in 2020, the highlight being Spanish Whisper fetching an online record price of A$1,202,500.

gavelhouse.com General Manager Haylie Martin commented on the new sale format.

“With recent interest fielded by the NZB and gavelhouse.com teams, a decision was made to open entries for a quality mare auction.”

“Run under gavelhouse.com terms and conditions, this is a great opportunity for vendors to offer any high quality breeding prospects they have sitting in the paddock or that are about to call time on their race careers,” she said.
