One to Watch - Geelong

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 20

Champion jockey Craig Williams had nothing but praise for this debut two year-old winner at Geelong on Tuesday, whose pedigree suggests there will be a lot more to come next season.

Trained by Danny O’Brien, No Nay Never (USA) filly Forever and a Day was taking on a tough task in the 1200m juvenile maiden with several runners well supported, but she found the front early and proved too strong.

Forever and a Day led for home and had plenty up her sleeve when challenged to win by a short neck over the Godolphin's Street Boss (USA) filly Heresy.

Craig Williams believes she has a bright future and longer distances will be well within her scope.

A modest $60,000 Magic Millions purchase for Dermot Farrington Bloodstock from the Coolmore draft, Forever and a Day has an interesting European female pedigree.

Forever and a Day was a modest $60,000 MM purchase from the Coolmore draft.

She is the second winner from Royal Dance, an unraced half-sister by Danehill Dancer to long distance Group II winning stayers Red Cardinal and Maria Royal.

Her older half-sister Conchita, a four time winner of over $250,000, is entered for the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale to be offered by Willow Park as Lot 1212 in foal to Pierata.
