Another 2YO Winner for Vancouver

Astute Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker is never afraid to travel his horses and a trip to Orange on Friday proved a fruitful one for two year-old Vancouver colt Overpass who won the $30,000 Silver Apple (1000m).

Second on debut at Hawkesbury earlier this month behind stakes-placed Capitalist colt Gleneagles, Overpass finished well to score a long head win for a big team of Darby Racing owners.
 



A $75,000 Inglis Easter Round 2 purchase for Darby Racing / Will Johnson Bloodstock from the Corumbene Stud draft, Overpass was bred by Corumbene and is the fourth winner from four to race from Exceed and Excel mare Walkway who comes from the family of Australian Horse of the Year Northerly.

Overpass as a yearling.

Overpass is the 35th winner of the season for Golden Slipper winning sire Vancouver, who has hit a purple patch in recent weeks.
