So You Think Delivers 20th Million Dollar Yearling at Inglis Easter

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 7

A champion on the track and an emerging champion sire So You Think produced the 20th individual million dollar yearling at Inglis Easter when the Segenhoe Stud consigned colt from Martilago sold for $1million on Wednesday.

An athletic scopey colt packed with quality, he was purchased by Ellerslie Lodge Racing Stables

Bred by Segenhoe, he is the fourth foal of blue-blooded Encosta de Lago mare Martilago, a half-sister to Group I winner Charmont, who is by So You Think’s sire High Chaparral (IRE).

$1million So You Think colt from Martilago

Martilago is a grand-daughter of Group I winner Champagne from the family of Group I winners St Reims and Bonneval.

Martilago has a colt to follow by Merchant Navy and is in foal to Too Darn Hot (GB).

Peter O'Brien of Segenhoe was delighted with the result.

The colt is the second million dollar yearling for So You Think, whose colt from Pinocchio made $1.1million at this sale last year.
