From Group III winning Snitzel mare Fireworks, he was knocked down to champion trainer Peter Moody, who is a fan of Zoustar and will saddle his exciting son Lightsaber in the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.

Moody is yet to finalize ownership of the colt, but it’s not hard to envisage him being bowled over by prospective investors in coming days.

$1.15 million Zoustar colt from Fireworks, most expensive yearling for his sire to date.

The handsome colt was bred by Fairway Thoroughbreds and consigned on their behalf by Segenhoe and is the second foal from Fireworks, who was also bred and raced by Fairway Thoroughbreds and is a half-sister to Group I winner Calveen, Group II winner Kosi Bay and stakes-winner Striker.

Fireworks has a colt to follow by I Am Invincible and missed last soring to Written Tycoon.

Below are a list of Zoustar’s top selling yearlings to date with this colt now slotting in at the top of the list.
