$1.1million Written Tycoon Colt Sold by Kia Ora

Kia Ora Stud produced their second million dollar colt at Inglis Easter on Wednesday morning when the Written Tycoon colt from US Group II winner Dream Play (USA) fetched $1.1million.

The first seven figure result at this sale for Arrowfield Stud’s Written Tycoon, the colt was bought by Tom Magnier / James Bester Bloodstock and is a half-brother to Group II winner Zululand, who was sold at Inglis Easter in 2013 for $1.5million to Tom Magnier and China Horse Club.
 



Dream Play has had no luck in her last two seasons at stud, but has left four foals to race and all are winners with stakes-placed Chicago Bull another of her offspring.

This colt is the third Written Tycoon yearling to sell for $1million or more this year joining colts at Magic Millions (from Taqaseem for $1.2million ) and Inglis Premier (from Gybe for $1.1million)
