$1.1million Fastnet Rock Filly a Coolmore Star

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 6

Champion sire Fastnet Rock has never been in better form and provided the first seven figure filly at Inglis Easter this year when his gorgeous filly from Rostova made $1.1million for Coolmore Stud.

A full sister to Group II winner and $1.5million earner Anaheed from Group I winning sprinter Rostova, the star filly had a big pedigree page and type to match with James Harron Bloodstock making the winning bid on behalf of a new client.

“We’re really glad to get her,” James Harron told Inglis’s Jemma Cutting.

“Fastnet Rock is having an incredible season and is doing a great job as a broodmare sire. She’s a collector’s item and a really class filly.

“She’s a November foal, so we’ll give her some time and she won’t be super early, we see her more of a later season two year-old type.”

Rostova had no foal last year but was one of 142 mares covered by Coolmore’s Triple Crown hero Justify (USA) in 2020.
