What Does A Good Fastnet Rock Look Like?

Breednet - Thursday April 1

Fastnet Rock has been a stalwart at the top of the yearling sales list because he delivers on the racetrack year in and year out, so let’s look at a gallery of his top class performers as they were as yearlings and see if it’s any help with the 15 yearlings set to be offered at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale next week.

He has sired 41 Group One winners in total, and had three so far this season headed by NZ superstar Avantage, a four time Gr1 winner this season, NZ Derby winner Rocket Spade and Kennedy Oaks winner Personal.

There’s also the promising two year-old Acrobat, a million dollar Easter yearling from last year that won the $500,000 Inglis Nursery at his one and only start to date.

Of the 15 to be offered next week, three are out of Group One winners, three are half-brothers to Group One winners and another five are either out of stakes winners and/or siblings to stakes winners.
