Sad Passing of Sheikh Hamdan

The sad passing of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum at age 75 has sparked an outpouring of emotion in the international bloodstock and racing world.
 



The older brother of Sheikh Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum helped to change the face of racing in Britain and across the world, his famous blue and white silks well known in Australia and carried by Melbourne Cup winners At Talaq and Jeune as well as countless other stakes-winners.

His Shadwell Stud spent many millions at Australasian yearling sales and achieved great success leading to a broodmare band and private breeding operation in Australia based  at Yarraman Park.



Around the world leading bloodstock figures have paid tribute to Sheikh Hamdan.
