One to Watch – Sandown

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 24

This promising Pride of Dubai filly made it two wins from three starts with an easy victory at Sandown on Wednesday.

Trained by Symon Wilde, Sirileo Miss won easily on debut at Bendigo last November and was then second in the $175,000 VOBIS Gold Eureka Stockade.

Resuming from a spell in a Benchmark 64 event for fillies over 1300m, Sirileo Miss was a well backed favourite and justified the support of punters when cruising to a two and a quarter length win.

A $60,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Miranda Park draft for her trainer, Sirileo Miss has won over $117,000 from her first three starts with the promise of much more to come.

Sirileo Miss as a yearling.

Bred by Gary O’Meara, she is a half-sister to stakes-placed Sophia’s Choice and is one of six winners from six to race from good producer She’s Sirius, a half-sister by Galileo to stakes-winner Spectrolite.

She’s Sirius produced a colt last spring by Merchant Navy.

Sirileo Miss looks a bright prospect for Pride of Dubai, who is Australia’s leading second crop sire by winners and earnings.
