Stylish Debut Winner for Winning Rupert

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 17

Astute Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker elected to head to Canberra on Wednesday with his promising Winning Rupert colt Keith and duly got the cash when he scored an impressive debut win.

Well educated with four previous trials under his belt, Keith raced forward to find the front and ran out an easy two length winner in the open 1000m maiden beating older rivals with ease.

Keith was a successful pinhook for Attunga Stud.

Keith was a $90,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Attunga Stud draft for Bjorn Baker Racing / Clarke Bloodstock and was a successful pinhook having been purchased by Attunga for $35,000 from the Newgate draft at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

He is the third winner from stakes-winning Magic Albert mare Tweet, who was bought by Kingstar Farm at the Inglis Broodmare Sale last year for $35,000 and is now in foal to another Newgate sire in Extreme Choice after producing a colt by Hellbent last spring.

Keith is the third winner for Written Tycoon’s brilliant son Winning Rupert, who is also the sire of a Black Type horse in Bolsonaro.
