More G1 Stars and Producers Join Inglis Chairman's Sale Lineup

Media Release - Tuesday March 16

The G1 winner El Dorado Dreaming, G1 producer Scarletini, Group winners such as Sweet Deal and Savanna Amour (in foal to Fastnet Rock), blue-blooded Stakes winner Meuse (in foal to Dundeel) as well as siblings to the likes of Sunlight and Forbidden Love are among the latest entries confirmed for the Inglis Chairman’s Sale.

Sweet Deal is to be offered at the Inglis Chairman's Sale.

In what is shaping as a spectacular evening of action at Riverside on Friday May 7, the latest Chairman’s entries join the likes of G1 superstars In Her Time, Celebrity Queen, Pippie and Danzdanzdance, G1 Blue Diamond runner-up Lankan Star, multiple Stakes-winning 2YO Mildred and Courchevel - the Snitzel half sister to champion mare Winx who carries a Capitalist pregnancy – as confirmed entries for the sale, setting the scene for another outstanding renewal.

The catalogue is also set to include mares in foal to the likes of leading sires such as I Am Invincible, Fastnet Rock, Written Tycoon and Zoustar, as well as a rare Southern Hemisphere-time pregnancy to exciting young sire Night Of Thunder.

Other confirmed entries include the dam of star 3YO and $1m earner Aim, lightning quick mare From Within, G2 winner La Falaise, high-class filly A Beautiful Night and the dam of sprinting star Heatherly, as well as New Zealand G2 winner Pinmedown.

Inglis’ Bloodstock Consultant Harry Bailey was keen to remind buyers that there remain opportunities to be a part of what is set to be a spectacular sale.

“Maastricht topped the sale in 2019 as a wildcard lot and there is still time to be a part of what is going to be a special night,” Bailey said.

“We have worked hard to collate what we believe is a world-class catalogue of fillies and mares and we are extremely humbled that so many breeders, trainers and owners have entrusted Inglis to sell their best stock.

“The marketing that has already been done and will continue to be done in the coming seven weeks leading to the sale will ensure every breeder in the world is aware of this sale and the extreme quality on offer.

“We have big plans for the sale night – it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun – and I think it’s going to be a sale that no one will want to miss.”

In the past two editions of the Chairman’s Sale, the average price for race fillies and race mares is over $545,000, while three of the four highest-priced pregnant mares sold at public auction in Australasia in 2019 and 2020 were sold at the Chairman’s Sale.

Eight fillies or mares have sold for $1m or more in that same time including Maastricht who sold for $2.25m in 2019.

The Chairman’s Sale will this year be held as a live auction at Riverside on the evening of Friday May 7.

Wildcard entries for the Chairman’s Sale, as well as the Australian Weanling Sale and the Australian Broodmare Sale will close on April 23rd.
