Breednet Reports Section a New Innovation

Tara Madgwick - Friday March 12

Regular Breednet users will have noticed international data is being incorporated into the site and that data has made possible a new section of reports that provide some interesting information highlighting Australasian bred racehorses and dams of winners and stakes horses overseas as well as highlighting Northern Hemisphere winners by sires that we are all familiar with.

With the European flat season about to get going the progress of young shuttle sires in Europe will be interesting with the likes of Almanzor (Fr) and Churchill (IRE) to have their first runners this year, while stallions such as Pride of Dubai and Toronado (IRE) are sure to have as many or more winners in Europe than they do here.

The Aus Dams international report will be another to keep watch on with a number of high profile Australian mares now based in Europe this report offering a quick reference when these mares produce a winner or stakes horse.

The current report for this search goes back to the end of February with a couple of interesting finds in South African Group I winner Linebacker, whose dam is Aussie bred Redoute’s Choice mare Thin Red Line.

Also of interest, a Group II race in Dubai won by seven year-old gelding Walton Street, whose dam is Brom Felinity, winner of what is now the Group II VRC Matriarch Stakes back in 2006.

A full sister to Group I winner Delago Brom, Brom Felinity was sent to the UK in 2013 by Darley and has produced two winners in Europe to go with the two winners she left here.

Turning 20 this year she produced a colt foal last year by Oasis Dream.
