Metro Doubles for Sun Stud Queensland

Leading Queensland based stallions BEL ESPRIT and LOVE CONQUERS ALL have each recorded metropolitan doubles on Wednesday.

Love Conquers AllLOVE CONQUERS ALL completed his deuce via WAS IT WORTH IT (ex Betrayer) in the opener at Doomben, while FORTENSKY (ex Love's Great) notched his third career win at Canterbury.

The promising Was It Worth It made it back-to-back victories from only four career starts and it would be a brave man to back against a hat trick next time out, such was the ease of the win. The 3YO was bred by Ken Bullen and is out of an Encosta de Lago mare.

Fortensky has run five consecutive city placings, so no one would begrudge the Star Thoroughbreds owned galloper landing the prize for connections, his earnings now exceed 6-figures. The product of a Choisir mare, he was bred by Murray Wise.

SMOKIN' BELLA (ex Gallant Lady) and LABUAN STAR (ex Racy Alice) were both successful on the MRC Mornington card for BEL ESPRIT (pictured).

Bel EspritAs a sister club to Caulfield, Mornington hosted the metropolitan meeting, and Bel's progeny took out two of the $40,000 sprint races on the program.

Labuan Star reeled off the fastest 400m sectional for the day with a blistering performance in the BM84 over 1000m. With 6-wins and over $150,000 in prizemoney, he has well and truly repaid his large group of owner/breeders.

And the lightly raced Smokin' Bella was most impressive when posting her fourth career win. With the mare having been beaten just 2.75L in the Group 2 Angus Armanasco last year, connections will no doubt be eyeing off some Blacktype this preparation. Out of a Galileo mare, she was bred by Michael & Joseph Lanteri and Frank Cua.

Queensland's dynamic duo BEL ESPRIT and LOVE CONQUERS ALL each stand for an advertised fee of $12,100 inc GST.
