All You Need to Know About Attending Inglis Premier

Media Release - Monday February 22

We are very much looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic renewal of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, which will be held at Oaklands as a live auction from Sunday February 28 until Tuesday March 2.

The sale has produced a stunning 16 individual G1 winners since 2018 and the winners of more of Australia’s open $1m+ races than any other sale.

While the sale will be conducted in the most normal of circumstances possible, there will still be some restrictions in place as a result of Covid-19. All persons attending the Oaklands complex for the duration of the inspection days and the sale will have their temperature taken and be required to check-in using the Service Victoria App.

Some other pertinent points for clients’ attention are:

  • Everybody at Oaklands must be carrying a mask at all times. Mask wearing will be compulsory in all indoor sections (auditorium, restaurant, café etc). Mask wearing outdoors is only compulsory if you cannot keep a safe 1.5m distance from another person. All patrons are requested to practice social distancing.
  • All clients travelling from outside Victoria to attend the sale will be required to fill out a Border Entry Permit before leaving their home state. To do so, CLICK HERE.
  • Current VIC Government restrictions mean that the capacity of the sales auditorium will be significantly reduced during the sale. As part of our Covid Safe plan access to the auditorium during the sale will be restricted to registered buyers, agents, trainers and syndicators. Restrictions mean that we will not be in a position to facilitate all buyers in the auditorium during the sale and we ask that participants be conscious of this when planning their visit to the sale. Regrettably, there will be no access to the sales auditorium for the general public. However, the complex at Oaklands will have alternative seating facilities on the grounds. We request that all participants be respectful of the restrictions. At the entrance of every individual space, ‘maximum capacity’ signage will be displayed to clearly indicate how many people are allowed in any given space at any one time.
If you are not in a position to attend the sale or simply prefer to follow from home, the sale will be broadcast live on Inglis.com.au, hosted by industry experts Caroline Searcy and Jason Richardson with previews, reviews and interviews from the sale.

We wish all participants in the sale every success and look forward to buyers unearthing the next Gytrash, Santa Ana Lane, Kenedna or Hey Doc, all millionaires who could have been bought at past renewals of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale for $100,000 or less.
