Inglis Classic First Season Sires

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday February 10

Another yearling sale and another domination for Cambridge Stud shuttler Almanzor (Fr), who has been an overwhelming success this season at sales in both Australia and New Zealand.

A Champion Euorpean 3YO by Wootton Bassett, who now stands at Coolmore, Almanzor had six yearlings average $221,667, which also made him the overall leading sire by average ahead of I Am Invincible, Written Tycoon and Capitalist.

That’s pretty heady stuff and it will be very interesting to look back in a few years with the benefit of hindsight and see if Almanzor delivers in the way demand for his yearlings would suggest.
