Inglis Millennium– First Season Sires Dominate, Will the Newgate Bonus Go Off?

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 2

The $2million Inglis Millennium (1200m) at Randwick this Saturday has drawn a full field plus emergencies with race favourite Profiteer drawing ideally in barrier one and first season sires poised to play a major hand providing nine of the 16 runners.

Capitalist colt Profiteer has drawn barrier one of the Inglis Millennium - Racing Photos.

Newgate Farm’s Capitalist has three runners including the race favourite Profiteer and debut winner Mystic Gem, while their other three first season sires Extreme Choice, Flying Artie and Winning Rupert are also represented.

Newgate Farm offered a lucrative incentive at last year’s sales and will pay a $250,000 bonus to the recorded buyer as listed in the Inglis sales results for ALL of their yearling sales (not online) for any two year-old by Capitalist, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie or Winning Rupert that can win the 2021 Inglis Millennium Race.

They offered a similar bonus for the Magic Millions and while that was not paid out with another first season sire in Shalaa (IRE) providing the winner of that race in Shaquero, the Ingis Millennium looms as a real possibility the bonus will go off.
