Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Monday February 1

Written Tycoon has some real superstars running for him at present in Group I three year-olds Ole Kirk and Odeum as well as speed queen Pippie, not to mention boom two year-old Enthaar and you can add the name of Written Beauty to that list as a filly that may well measure up to Group I standard in 2021.

Already a G3 winner, Written Beauty has a lot more to offer - image Racing Photos.

Trained by Team Hawkes, Written Beauty has the overall record of four wins and a second from five starts and closed out her spring campaign winning the Group III VRC Red Roses Stakes.

She stepped out at the Warwick Farm trials this morning and was absolutely brilliant in leading all the way to beat her stablemate Dirty Work, another Written Tycoon, by nearly four lengths.

A homebred for Orbis Bloodstock, Written Beauty broke the Moonee Valley track record over 1000m during the spring, breaking Nature Strip’s previous mark when clocking 56.92 seconds, so has speed to burn.

The only juvenile trial on the program was won by Capitalist gelding Clemnceau, who is also trained by Team Hawkes and carries the colours of Alan Bell.

He jumped quickly at his first public outing to lead under a hold and was comfortable all the way to the line winning by the best part of a length.

Clemenceau is the third foal of stakes-placed Commands mare Capital Commander, a grand-daughter of Group II winner Twining.
