The Richard and Michael Freedman trained colt Stay Inside was the latest to salute, posting a dominant victory in his first start at Randwick on Saturday.

He raced up on the pace for Robbie Dolan and kicked clear down the running to win the 1000m scamper by nearly three lengths in a brisk 56.89 seconds.

“It was a good debut and he learned a lot out of his two previous trials where he was quite wayward,” said co-trainer Michael Freedman.

“He quickened up really well and has a bright future.

“We’ve had two 2YO winners this season, both by Extreme Choice (the other is Tiger of Malay), I just wish they were making more of them!”

Winning came easily for Stay Inside!

A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for Freedman Brothers/Rick Connolly Bloodstock, he was a successful pinhook having been bought originally from the Kingstar Farm draft at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale for $60,000.

Stay Inside as a yearling.

Bred by Kingstar Farm, Stay Inside is the first winner for Nothin Leica Storm, a winning half-sister by Anabaa (USA) to the dam of stakes-placed Dinnigan and Pouting Lips from the family of Group I Caulfield Guineas winner Wonderful World.

Nothin Leica Storm has no yearling for the sales this year but did have a filly by Russian Revolution last spring.

Stay Inside is the fourth winner from just nine starters for Extreme Choice joining Abseiler, Tiger of Malay and New Zealand based Palamos and he also has a stakes placed horse in Extreme Warrior.

Extreme Choice yearlings were in hot demand at Magic Millions with six youngsters averaging $201,667 and his top seller a colt from Convention (GB) that made $400,000 to the bid of Ciaron Maher Bloodstock.

Extreme Choice has half a dozen entries for Inglis Classic including Lot 46, a colt offered by Valiant Stud that is bred on the same cross as Stay Inside being from a daughter of Anabaa.

He is a half-brother to five winners from Group I winner Imananabaa.
