Almanzor at Karaka 2021

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Monday January 18

If we learned one thing from the Magic Millions Book 1 Sale last week it’s that Cambridge Stud shuttler Almanzor (Fr) has the makings of a serious sire with his good showing at European yearling sales in 2020 backed up by phenomenal results on the Gold Coast – so let’s take a look at what he has to offer at Karaka Book 1.

Almanzor was the leading first season sire by average at Magic Millions for those with three or more sold with his three yearlings averaged an astonishing $506,667 putting him third on the overall leading sires by average list (three or more sold) behind only Not a Single Doubt and I Am Invincible.

Admittedly he had a small hand picked selection at this sale offered by Bhima Thoroughbreds, but they hit the mark with buyers in a way that would suggest plenty of optimism for the upcoming Karaka Book 1 Sale in New Zealand where there are more than 40 catalogued by the Champion European 3YO of 2016.

Online bidding services will be available for all registered buyers who are unable to physically attend Karaka 2021, with all yearlings available for on-farm inspections and New Zealand-based agents available to inspect on behalf.
