Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill

Tara Madgwick - Friday January 15

There were five juvenile heats at the Rosehill trials this morning and three of them were won by the progeny of I Am Invincible, but before we get into that, you need to see the first heat which was wall to wall Group I performers.

One Group I winner that bypassed that hot heat in favour of something a bit lower profile was Ole Kirk, who had a quiet trial to finish fourth to Greyworm over 900m.

I Am Invincible had three heat winners Ashema (Annabel Neasham), Authentic Jewel (Chris Waller) and Home Affairs (Chris Waller), who was the quickest of the three and won by two lengths.

An $875,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Tom Magnier, Home Affairs was having his first trial and showed good pace to work through and hold the fence before kicking away to win as he pleased.

Home Affairs as a yearling

Home Affairs is a half-brother to top class three year-old Aysar, who was second in the Group I Caulfield Guineas and is from Miss Interiors, a half-sister to Group I winner and promising sire Russian Revolution.

The other juvenile trial winners were Stay Inside (Extreme Choice) and Typanist (Belardo).
