The Champion European 3YO of 2016, Almanzor has made everyone sit up and take notice at this sale and will make plenty of buyers start looking very hard at Karaka Book 1 where he has over 40 yearlings catalogued.

Dogged by fertility issues, Newgate Farm’s Menari had just 19 foals in his first crop and three of them have sold here at an average $200,000.

His top seller was a filly from Ben’s Duchess (USA) that made $260,000 when bought by James Bester Bloodstock/Vantage Thoroughbreds and is a virtual female version of her sire.
