$1.8Million Not a Single Doubt Colt

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 14

Out of the wreckage of the Magic Millions conducted Patinack Farm Complete Dispersal in 2014 has come the beginnings of a colt that sold at the Gold Coast on Thursday for $1.8 million.

When you win a Golden Slipper with a colt by Not a Single Doubt bought at Magic Millions it only makes sense to go back to the well and that’s what the Aquis Phoenix team have done this year securing their third million dollar son of Farnan’s sire on Thursday.

$1.8million Not a Single Doubt colt from One More Honey.

Bred and consigned by Emirates Park, the strikingly marked bay colt attracted keen competition before being knocked down to Tony Fung Investments/ Phoenix Thoroughbreds for $1.8million to set a new record for his now pensioned Arrowfield sire Not a Single Doubt.

Emriates Park’s Bryan Carlson was thrilled with the result.

The colt joins Not a Single Doubt colts from Denmagic ($1.1 million) and Medaglia Valore ($1million) that were also purchased by the same investors.

He is the first foal from Onemorenomore mare One More Honey, who was raced by Emirates Park and scored a career highlight win in the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes.

Emirates Park purchased her dam Our Funny Honey (USA) from the Patinack Farm Dispersal in 2014 for $50,000 with One More Honey a foal at foot.

Our Funny Honey has had four foals to race and all are winners with stakes-winner Vega One her next best offspring after One More Honey.

Her current two year-old is Snitzel colt Tidal Creek, who was bought by Dermot Farrington Bloodstock/Aquis Farm/Brae Sokolski/Parsons Creek at Magic Millions last year for $800,000.

One More Honey has a colt foal by Zoustar to follow and is in foal to Snitzel.
