Another $1million Colt for Not a Single Doubt

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 14

On paper, Gerry Harvey’s Baramul Stud draft did look to be a vintage one for this year’s Magic Millions Yearling Sale and it produced a seven figure sale on Thursday when the Not a Single Doubt colt from Medaglia Valore sold for $1million.

A flashy chestnut with a baldy face, the colt was bought by Tony Fung Investments/ Phoenix Thoroughbreds and is the second foal of his dam, who won just once at Gosford.

By champion sire Medaglia D’Oro (USA) from Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Military Rose, Medaglia Valore has a big Black Type family tracing back to blue hen Summoned, the dam of Zeditave.

She produced a filly by Snitzel last spring and is back in foal to the champion sire.  Her first foal, a two year-old filly by Exceed and Excel sold for $300,000 at Magic Millions last year, but is yet to be named.

The star colt is the second million dollar colt of the sale for Arrowfield Stud’s now pensioned Not a Single Doubt, whose colt from Denmagic consigned by Torryburn Stud was also bought by Tony Fung Investments/ Phoenix Thoroughbreds for $1.1million.
