$1.2million for Loving Gaby Sister

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 14

The Magic Millions Yearling Sale produced it’s first seven figure filly on Thursday, but it was not without it’s drama as the  full sister to Loving Gaby initially left the ring unsold.

Consigned by Kia Ora Stud, the I Am Invincible filly from Maastricht was widely tipped as a sale ring star, but when bidding stalled it appeared as if she would remain with her breeders, but some quick negotiation behind the scenes resulted in her sale to Ciaron Maher Bloodstock / Next Level Syndication at $1.2million.

She takes over as the most expensive filly sold at this sale so far and continues the filly domination of her sire I Am Invincible, who has produced the top five fillies at this sale at this point in time.

Maher and Eustace trained Loving Gaby to win multiple Group I races earning in excess of $2.2million to the be the Champion 3YO Filly of 2019/2020.

Loving Gaby was the first foal of Maastricht, who went through the 2019 Inglis Chairman’s Sale where she made $2,250,000 to the bid of Coolmore/ James Bester Bloodstock and she produced a colt by Justify (USA) last spring.

Maastricht topped the 2019 Inglis Chairman's Sale when selling for $2,250,000.

Her two year-old filly by Sebring called Gstaad was retained by Kia Ora Stud and Alan Bell and is being trained by Team Hawkes.
