Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 12

After the first 50 lots of the 2021 Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast on Tuesday it was Attunga Stud’s I Am Invincible colt from Zighy Bay (USA) that was setting the pace when knocked down to Waller Racing/ Mulcaster Bloodstock for $800,000.

Bred by Woodpark Stud, the colt is a half-brother to Group I South Australian Derby winner Qafila from blue-blooded Tapit mare Zighy Bay, a half-sister to Japanese Group I winner Mozu Superflare.

We saw him on the farm about a month ago and he really attracted our eye then and we targeted him as one of a few horses that we’re going to have a go at today,” said Guy Mulcaster.

“He’s going to go to our colts syndicate and be trained by Chris Waller.”
