Tara Madgwick - Saturday January 2

The Neville Parnham trained gelding has had a month between runs after finishing ninth in the Group I WATC Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) and led all the way to score by three-quarters of a length as a hot favourite.

“He’s a pretty promising horse and I knew he’d keep running today,” said Neville Parnham.

“He’s a free running horse and hopefully he can keep winning.”

A $110,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Parnham Racing from the Bowness Stud draft, Indian Pacific has the overall record of seven wins and three placings from 11 starts with prizemoney topping $300,000.

Bred by Bowness Stud, Indian Pacific has now won two stakes races and is the best of six winners from stakes-winner Rosarino, a half-sister by Perugino (USA) to stakes-winner Rosa’s Spur, the grand-dam of Group II winner Pure Elation.

Rosarino produced a filly last spring by Super One and was then covered by Bowness Stud’s young sire D’Argento.

Bowness Stud will present a terrific dart of 27 for Magic Millions, click here to see them.

Indian Pacific is one of five stakes-winners this season for Zoustar, who has 60 entries for Magic Millions.
