Mark Smith - Monday December 28

Racing Queensland has released the latest top 30 in the order of entry for next months $2 million The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic and the $2 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast.

The Toby and Trent Edmonds-trained Alpine Edge leads the charge in the 2yo classic. The son of Better Than Ready has won both his starts, the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes and the Group III B.J. McLachlan Stakes.

Lindsay Park’s Group III Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) winner Finance Tycoon) (Written Tycoon) will likely have a start on the Gold Coast track a week before the Magic Millions. That is the path successfully chartered by Exhilarates, Sunlight and Houtzen in recent years.

The likely favourite is the Chris Waller-trained She’s All Class. Another daughter of I Am Invincible, She’s All Class scored a bloodless win in the $200,000 Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic (1100m) after debuting with a third behind Captivant at Randwick.
