There were four Randwick winners on Saturday that have siblings in upcoming sales and one of them is exciting Deep Field sprinter Big Parade.

The Mark Newnham trained four year-old Big Parade was favourite for the Benchmark 88 event over 1200m at his second run back from a spell and was super impressive in winning by more than three lengths.

Gelded during his last spell, Big Parade has won four of nine starts earning nearly $180,000 and looks to be a horse very much on the up.

“We know how much ability he’s got, but I think now we’ll see a bit of consistency from this horse,” said Mark Newnham.

“He paraded well today and was nice and relaxed at the tie up stalls. As a gelding now he’s learning to use that energy in a positive way.”

A $160,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Middlebrook Valley Lodge draft, Big Parade is the best of two winners from Crystal Rock, a half-sister by Fastnet Rock to stakes-winner Zizou from the family of Group I winners King’s Legacy, Oohood and champion sire Not a Single Doubt.

Big Parade has a yearling half-sister by Hellbent that will be offered at Inglis Classic by Middlebrook Valley Lodge as Lot 555.
