One to Watch – Wyong

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 10

Annabel Neasham is building up an impressive team of young horses that include this three year-old gelding by More Than Ready (USA) that has a half-sister headed to Magic Millions in January.

An eye-catching chestnut, Stoltz was unplaced on debut for his previous trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at Canterbury back in April, but resumed from a spell with a good second at Canberra for his new trainer last month.

He broke his maiden at his next start at Wyong on November 26 and followed up with this stylish win over 1200m in Class 1 company.

In a competitive field, Stoltz was always in control and scored by three-quarters of a length.

A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Kia Ora Stud draft for Pamsel Investments/Clarke Bloodstock, Stoltz is a half-brother to Aussie bred South African Group II winner Nafaayes and is the third winner from imported Group III winner Decelerator (USA).

Stoltz as a yearling.

Kia Ora Stud will offer the current yearling from, Decelerator, a filly by American Pharoah (USA) as Lot 214 at Magic Millions.
